Violence against women with disabilities: the emergence of the phenomenon in the Italian context

Abstract

The phenomenon of violence against women with disabilities in Italy is characterized by a lack of visibility. There is no specific data collection and the scientific literature on the subject is not particularly developed. The contribution attempts to trace the moments and paths of the emergence of the discourse on violence against women with disabilities in Italy, attempting to show the intertwining of political, regulatory, and public debate dynamics with the capture of speech of women of the movements of people with disabilities.
