Paesaggi linguistici nei ‘barrios’ di Buenos Aires: spazi di italianità

Abstract

The work aims at tracing the linguistic and symbolic components of ‘Italian-ness’ that characterise some commercial enogastronomic activities of Buenos Aires city within the Italian Heritage (IH) category, according to the most recent categorisation models of (pseudo)Italian products and activities abroad (see Mori 2021). We propose a qualitative-quantitative analysis on 11 IH activities related partly to historical migrations, partly to neo-migrations, through a methodological triangulation that included a web-scraping phase, followed by the field location of the activities, documented through photographic images, and by face-to-face modular interviews with some of the managers of the same activities.
