Abstract

Who is afraid of men’s studies? Aim of this article is to briefly discuss the current situation regarding men’s studies in Italy. In Italy there is no tradition of research on men and masculinities and there are still few efforts for comparison with international literature on the same issues. However, men’s studies are growing also in Italy. We will mention both pieces of literature and interesting collective experiences which are part of a male network of critical thought on dominating models of masculinity.

Key words: gender, men studies, women.
