Manuscript anonymization

To ensure anonymity during the review process, authors are required to:

  • Remove their names from the manuscript and replace any identifying references with “Author” and the year (e.g., in citations, footnotes, and the bibliography);
  • Omit or redact acknowledgements or mentions of collaborations that could reveal their identity;
  • Delete identifying metadata from the file properties.

If the article is accepted, authors will be invited to reinsert their identifying details after completing the peer review process and final revisions.

The review process cannot be initiated if the submitted manuscript does not comply with the required anonymisation standards. In such cases, a new submission may be made once all personal and identifying information has been removed from the proposal file.
