Thematic articles

The thematic articles answer an open call from the editors, so in order to submit a contribution in this area it is necessary to follow all guidelines given in the call itself. The editorial board can decide whether a contribution should be moved to the 'Open Section' area.

AG About Gender considers submissions of call for papers proposals to be published in the thematic section concerning crucial topics in the field of gender studies.

Submitting editors are required to send to the Editorial Board’s e-mail (redazione.aboutgender@gmail.com) a full version of the proposed call for papers (max 5 pages, following the editorial guidelines of the Journal) and related abstract (max 1 page).

The submitted call for papers should include a consistent and updated theoretical framework within the contemporary debate. Additionally, it should suggest potential contextualization and research perspectives related to the general thematic framework of the proposed monographic issue.

The group of editors is required to include scholars belonging to Universities and/or Research Centres based in at least two different countries.

Once accepted by the Editorial Board, the call for papers has to be drawn up in Italian and either English or Spanish. The Editorial Board’s feedback will be provided approximately within 6 weeks. The scheduling of the accepted calls may vary depending on the Editorial Board’s planning. However, once a call for papers is circulated, the related issue is published after 12 months.
