An Educational - Intercultural and Gender - Analysis of the Results of a Research in Emilia-Romagna. The Point of View of Parents and Teachers on Foreign Children and Their Families

This paper presents results of an interdisciplinary research named "Gender stereotypes, educational relationships and childhoods". The research has involved parents, grandparents, educators and teachers in Emilia-Romagna which are important adults figures for children between 0 and 6 years old. We chose to explore adults’ gender models using a mixed methodology with questionnaire and focus groups. This contribution presents only some of the results of the qualitative part of the research project. We need an educational and pedagogical point of view to deal with gender’s co-presence and relations and also with differences in origins and cultural references in life and educative context.
