Today intersectionality is considered an epistemic perspective useful for understanding the coexistence of domination and agency, and the aim of this article is to expand research on intersectionality. We develop this purpose by highlighting the intersection as the locus where the meaning and social relevance of the categories take shape in their reciprocal interaction. Developing a dialogue with the seminal Leslie McCall's analysis, the article explores the best combination of methods with which to investigate what happens at the intersection, and how the different combinations of intersections modify, through time and space, the strength and subjective experience of the different categorizations.
