Abstract

The article takes its cue from a video produced by Fanpage, entitled: The Challenge between Men and Women, and inspired by the so called “privilege walk”, a teaching activity generally proposed in courses on inclusion and diversity that follows Peggy McIntosh’s studies on privilege and oppression. It then shows the consequences of oppression in terms of discoursive and epistemic injustice and illustrates the difficulties and emotional resistance, which privileged groups deal with when they are forced to listen to the voice of the oppressed.

Keywords: oppression, privilege, discoursive injustice, epistemic injustice.
