Abstract

This contribution is based on a PhD research in French-Italian bilingual education, and is focused on the qualitative analysis of learners’ discourses. The researcher discusses the possibility of investigating discourse both as a product of actors, grounded in political, social and cultural contexts, and as an expression of subjectivities through which the learners’ experience is re- and co-constructed. To this purpose and within the framework of qualitative research, discourse analysis and social representations analysis will be adopted and combined. This process will be illustrated by extracts of interviews taken from the research project corpus.
