Panorama et expansion de la presse électronique francophone

Abstract

This contribution presents the first results of an ongoing didactic project which started in 2007 and whose aim was to encourage students to acquire a general knowledge about French-speaking online newspapers. More precisely, students were asked to contribute to the construction of our press database (Presse Francophone en Ligne website) and to write press reviews. The data collected so far show that the expansion of French-speaking online press covers all areas of the French-speaking world despite clear economical and infrastructural unbalances and that online newspapers are quickly and successfully developing.
