L’exil en ville, la ville en exil : l’écriture urbaine de l’exil dans l’oeuvre de Régine Robin

Abstract

This paper analyzes two texts by the Quebec author Régine Robin, «La Québécoite» and «Mégapolis». These books are approached from the point of view of exile experienced in a city, and also from that of migration and wandering as a way of life. The cities (Paris, Montréal, Tokyo etc.) become not only a place where the author lives, at a second degree they take on a textual dimension, as well as metaphorical and symbolic meanings.
