Le voyage identitaire dans le roman québécois : « Chercher le vent » (2001) de Guillaume Vigneault

Abstract

The paper introduces a doctoral thesis in progress which analyzes the journey as an identity-forming pulse in the modern Quebec novel. The theoretical background is based on cultural studies, and more specifically, on scientific research on the issue of identity. Hence, this helps to determine the key factors of the evolution of the protagonists’ identity during their journey. The paper concludes with a brief exemplary analysis of the novel «Chercher le vent» (2001) by Guillaume Vigneault that illustrates the theoretical and methodical approach.
