Abstract

The relationship between literary writing and the right assume very special connotations in the writing of Marie Cosnay. In both texts, Comment on expulse and Entre chagrin et néant, which provide direct evidence on the legal procedures related to the expulsion from France of illegal foreigners, the author discusses about the civil responsibility of the citizen and the writer, providing ample and varied discussion material. Thus she demonstrates an attitude, an authorial posture active in relation to the society and a Sartre's form of engagement.
