Metafore dello spazio urbano: la (de)nominazione in terminologia come posizionamento epistemico

Abstract

What semiotic and epistemological dynamics are at work in the creation of new terms? What factors may influence the selection of new terms, in order to designate new theoretical and operational paradigms? Our paper analyzes the main metaphorical terms related to the major evolutions in the organization of urban spaces during the 20th century, considering the main metaphors and ideologies underlying these metaphors, with a particular emphasis on paradigm migration of metaphorical terms from one specialised domain to others.
