Abstract

I would like to dedicate to Sergio a story taken from John Mortimer's collection, Adventures of a lawyer: Rumpole at the Old Bailey, the result of an interdisciplinary project coordinated by Remo Ceserani on legal language and literature. The volume came out in 1997 in the series “Romanzi Giudiziari”, Sellerio, Palermo, edited and translated by Stefania Michelucci, with a note by Remo Ceserani. It was subsequently published in 2003 in the series “La Memoria”, Sellerio, Palermo. I am grateful to Sellerio for the release granted to me.
