Abstract

The paper aims at recognizing some aspects of Agota Kristof's « enfance indurée » within her narrative production. The loneliness and unhappiness that marked the writer's childhood are reflected in her writings. Thus, writing becomes the perfect alibi in order to kill her much dreaded father. But, as we shall see, such crime does not undermine the innocence of the child hero.
