Starting with the assertion made by Jean-Christophe Bailly that in Mai 68 « death was absent », I analyse the nature of the « movement » and its paradoxical definition of revolutionnary violence. Manchette condamns terrorism very early with Nada (1972). It leads to understand why terrorism happened in a belated way in France, compared with Germany and Italy. I see how it is developed by Rolin and Riboulet and also in Lucas Belvaux’s film : Cavale.
