Abstract

1968 was a generational revolt, an attempt to change the world, which affected all the countries of the West, but which in each country took on particular characteristics. The revolt itself lasted very little, just under two years, from 1967 to 1969. In Germany the phenomenon was characterized by a strong politicization and also the subsequent interpretation of historical facts and the myth of the student revolt took on purely political connotations , linked to the debate and the German political struggle . The image of '68, and therefore its interpretation, has never been uniform, but has evolved over time. Through an exam that will first highlight the historical-political context and discussion and then the literary one, we will investigate the presuppositions of the legacy of '68 in Germany.
