Vol. 42 No. 2 (2024): Comics: beyond borders

Following the discussion at the international conference “Beyond borders” organized in October 2023 by the Festival BD de Montréal (FBDM) in collaboration with the Centre de Recherches Interdisciplinaires en Études Montréalaises (CRIEM), in this issue of Publifarum we examine the different facets of the border as a thematic and formal subject in comics. Border evokes both contact and closure. Border is what lies between two different realities, the point of contact and, at the same time, the place where we experience the difficulty of crossing over.
